Ghana Voter Registration

HSB identification has been part of one of the largest and most successful biometric voter registration projects. In this project HSB has supplied the voter registration solution with over 7000 Biometric Voter Registration Kits (BVR) to register 14 million people in only 40 days.

With the BioRegistrator^® software and hardware the Electoral Commission has captured 10 fingerprints, photo and personal data of every voter in the country to create the most accurate voter register. The fingerprints are matched on the kits as well as on a central AFIS to enable duplicate checks.

Each BVR Kit has been made from a rugged casing that include laptops, photo capturing device, lighting, printer (for voter cards), 4-fingerprint scanner and battery packs.

The supplied kits can operate for more than 13 hour without power and are especially designed for fast registration with a fast capturing process. All information is captured off-line and synchronized with the central fingerprint de-duplication system through an intelligent data transfer mechanism which is transparent, secure and safe.

HSB identification could deliver the total solution together with its partners in a very short time frame due to the availability of proven ready-to-use products.
